Many corperations are not in a rush to get there systems changed over worried about hardware conflicts and training issues. most companys are not even planing to purchase the new operating system on there new computer in the up coming year under the same concerns. M.I.T. and the University of Southampton in Britain are announcing today that the World Wide Web has become such a main stream part of our culture, that it is worthy of a new feild of study: Web Science!

"Web science, the researchers say, has social and engineering dimensions. It extends well beyond traditional computer science, they say, to include the emerging research in social networks and the social sciences that is being used to study how people behave on the Web. And Web science, they add, shifts the center of gravity in engineering research from how a single computer works to how huge decentralized Web systems work."

IBM Opts for AMD

Since the unveiling of the low-cost, low-energy AMD Operton in 2003, Intel has been struggling in the server-grade processor insdustry. Now, IBM has announced their decision to use the AMD Opteron processor in their new line of BladeCenter servers. System x3455, x3655 and x3755 rack-mount servers, two-way Bladecenter LS21, and four-way LS41 blade servers sporting the new AMD processors have already been announced. IBM will continue this transition over the next three months.
